My joy is in God and the good things that come from him
We have witnessed the amazing power of prayer, the warmth and generosity of our f/Friends and family, and a clear sign of way in which He wishes and intends to employ Amalija to do His good will here on earth. As of this week, with current donations and existing pledges of support in the future months, Amalija has the funds she needs to move to the next step in her journey here to be with us.
Below is a email we just received from her this morning. Our family sends out our deepest appreciation and gratitude to everyone who has given and pledged support. You are God at Work.
Two years ago a thought came to me, a thought that has been transformed into my wish, and that wish became my prayer. This prayer took me to my faith adventure.
After mounts of prayer, seeking God's will in my desire to study at George Fox University in USA, I have witnessed miracles happening in me and around me, I was challenged to see things beyond my limitations, to move from what I can to what God can do. There were days when I wanted to give up, when my strength was weak and my vision got blurry with the obstacles on the way. I wanted to accept the reality in my terms, and to give up on the idea of trying further with my wish, but I could not avoid God's whisper to my heart "If you believe, you'll watch miracles happening in your life."
It is great joy to share with all of you, who were praying with me and for me, that God answered to our prayers, and this August I will begin my studies at George Fox University! I call this my "red sea miracle".
Your love, care, and help is of great value for me, and your encouragement helped me to continue trusting God, your friendship is the gift from God.
I pray that this amazing experience of mine with God, will be a reminder to you, that He is able to do far more then we can ever imagine. I want to encourage you to dream, because when you do you move closer to the way God sees things, and then the dream becomes "the joy of your present, and the hope of your future".
