Silent Night
Dear God,
Last night I stayed up to watch The African Children's Choir on Jay Leno. As I thought about the preciousness of these children- I cringed at the jokes in his monologue. Hopefully the kids were secluded from any of that until they graced the stage. It was such a thrill to see Esther, Dora and Stella on TV. Once again I was amazed by the beauty of the children-spreading your message at such a young age. God, please let me catch this spirit.
Thank you Father for sending your Son-a child to light our world and our hearts.
Edit: Alan has uploaded the video and here it is, along with little nametags for the girls who stayed with us. (He really wants the HD version, but we don't have an HD recorder or DVR, just a plain ol' VHS...) It will take about 10-30 seconds to load below:

I just captured, edited, and
I just captured, edited, and uploded the video. (And then edited Michelle's blog entry.) I feel such a connection to these children and would love to see them again before they leave the states.
How cool for you to see
How cool for you to see "your girls" on Leno!
This is so great!
When we heard the African Children's Choir would be on Leno we "marked" it to record on our DVR. When we went to watch it, we "suffered" through the monologue, with similar thoughts as yours (hoping the kids weren't listening) and only got to see the first line of the song before our recording wigged out. But there it is, edited for our enjoyment, on your site. Thanks so much for sharing that. We can watch it any time we want. Oh, and I love knowing which singers were your girls. I love your enthusiasm and the impact this experience had on you. Thanks to being open to God's leading and to sharing your process with your friends who follow your blog.
